… how do you find us? In the center of Barchi, Terre Roveresche, in the Marche region between Rimini and Ancona.
Surroundings
From the coastal towns of Fano and Marotta, around 15 km away, the first hills rise up towards the mountains. The locals call the ‘old towns’ of these small villages ‘castelli’, as they were inhabited by a few well-off families in the 16th and 17th centuries. From each of these ‘località’ you can see the sea on one side and the foothills of the Apennines around 30 km away on the other.
This is also the case from the Castello di Barchi. FELIX CONVIVIUM is located directly on the city wall at the city gate ‘Porta nova’.
You can enjoy the view from every window and, of course, from the hotel’s own garden.
The quickest way to get to Felix convivium is from the highway, exit Fano via the Superstrada and a small country road in 20 minutes. The slightly longer drive from the coastal road from the seaside resort of Torette also takes you there via a small country road. Here you can feast your eyes and get a first impression of the country and its people.
Throne on the city wall
The house is enthroned on top of the city wall, right next to the city gate and is an Eldorado for people with an eye for the extraordinary. You are immersed in your own private surroundings and yet you are directly part of the “centro storico”. Apart from the few residents who live directly in the village center, no one drives on the street by the house.
You park directly at the house, are always personally welcomed by us and receive a comprehensive introduction to the property.

An elevator takes you comfortably from the first floor to the garden and pool level on the second floor.
Jewel of masonry
The restored facade is a jewel of masonry. Its restoration has led to the city also having the city gate restored directly.
Antonio, our mayor, and Christiano, our vigile (village policeman), regularly stop here and let their eyes wander. By the way, they are always available for a little chat (also in English) if you like.
